Woke up in Zadar around 9 and had our cappuccinos in the city. Walked around the promenade by the sea and listed to the sea organ, ( built into the city wall on the sea, when waves wash into holes in the wall it forces air through the pipes, so the sea plays you a tune as you sit on the steps looking out over the water. Very cool!) Then we set out for krka national park, where we hiked in the park around the beautiful pristine krka river and many waterfalls and then went swimming under a big waterfall at the bottom of the hike (see pic) The water was cold, but refreshing and we spent a while there because it was so pretty.
Then we drove to trogir, a little walled island of a city near Split. It is amazing! It's one of the best preserved medieval cities because its an island so the many would-be conquerors couldn't get to it. We climbed up the bell tower of the church all the way to the top and had the most amazing sunset view over the whole town and sea. Then split a whole small sea bass for dinner. I need to learn to cook the whole fish crispy skin and all, delicious :)
Crashed at a local hostel we happened to walk by.
